The Key to a Full Pipeline?
Consistent, Quality, Focused Marketing
[pullquote align=”left” cite=”Eddie Rickenbacker“]I can give you a six-word formula for success: Think things through – then follow through.[/pullquote]
Online marketing makes finding new prospects easier than before these techniques became available. However, that does not make every online marketing initiative automatically or instantly successful. You’d be surprised at how many fail to even get off the ground, and you may be even more surprised as to why they fail.
The problem lies not necessarily in a lack of strategic planning, nor in an inability to create a plan that’s easy to implement. The difficulty arises from a lack of execution.
So how can this troubling pattern be avoided? What do you have to do to ensure that the plan that you’ve made doesn’t fall to the wayside? Well, the solution is a combination of experimentation, communication, feedback, and a willingness to pivot. It involves not only that you have a plan, but a plan of execution as well.
How to Overcome this Marketing Trap
Essentially, there are three key practices that you can adopt to make sure that your strategic plans don’t fizzle out before they even get started.
- Design and initiate online marketing experiments. We’ve got to discover what works for your audience needing your company’s solution(s). The combination of factors may look very similar to other campaigns superficially, but the slight differences make all the difference.
- Provide consistent messaging to your prospects and current clients. Consistency is the single most overlooked aspect of effective marketing. It’s not as sexy-sounding as many other methods, like advanced funnel platforms and improved conversion metrics, but it’ what cuts through the clutter.
- Review and pivot. Again, this is an overlooked marketing discipline, but for other reasons. Some people mistakenly view changing course with having made errors or mistakes. Instead, we embrace the changes because it means we’re paying attention to market feedback.
